Prime & Prime Value Resorts

The final 4 on-site resorts are considered prime and prime value. The main difference between these resort categories are the resort locations. Universal’s Cabana Bay Beach Resort and Universal’s Aventura Hotel, both in the Prime Category, are located directly on-site and have a dedicated walking path to Universal’s Volcano Bay Water Park. Endless Summer Resort is made up of the two remaining resorts, Seaside Inn & Suites and Dockside Inn & Suites. Endless Summer while still considered an on-site property is located just outside the main property and does not have any walking paths or boats available for guest use; these resorts rely solely on bus transportation and are categorized as Prime Value.

Cabana Bay Beach Resort

Take a step back in time to the 50’s and 60’s as you wander around this amazingly themed resort. If you are a fan of the television show Mad Men you may seriously be asking where’s Don Draper because you literally feel like you have stepped into that era of time. Head on over to the Swizzle Lounge and order up a classic cocktail to really feel the vibes!

This retro-inspired resort not only has impeccable décor but also has fun around every corner! It features a bowling alley, two large pools (one with a slide) and…a lazy river! Plus take a few minute stroll down the private path and you’ll find yourself at a private entrance to Volcano Bay Water Park!

With so many room options, this resort is a fantastic option for larger families. Their family suites are spacious and can sleep up to 6 people. Each suite has a living room area with pull out sofa and also has a kitchenette. However if all you need is a standard room, Cabana Bay offers those as well. Remember how close this resort is to Volcano Bay…how about a room overlooking this amazing waterpark? Yep, a Volcano Bay view room is one of the three view options you can choose from.

Aventura Hotel

Sleek, stylish, modern and minimalistic are words that describe Universal’s Aventura Hotel. Using the latest technology, Aventura takes hotel stays to the next level with iPads in every room to control the television, lights, heating/cooling, even room service orders and all at a very affordable cost. But by far the coolest technology feature of this hotel is the robot. Yes, I said robot. Using your tablet, you can chat with the front desk and place requests for small items, a toothbrush, more coffee, etc and they will be delivered to you by “Relay” the hotel robot!!

While this hotel does not have a traditional sit down restaurant, you’ll want to head up to Bar 17 Bistro on the 17th floor to take in the sweeping views of all three parks and beyond! Downstairs, the Urban Pantry, inspired by Asian and European food halls, dish up a mixture of items from burgers, pizza and salad to sushi and wok bowls. And if you are craving a little relaxation time after a day in the parks, be sure to check out the pool and hot tub and grab a drink from Bar Sol. You can even hang out in the pool and watch a movie on the big screen each night!

Room choices at Aventura range from traditional 2 queen bed with a variety of view choices up to kids suites on the highest room floor with panoramic views. Aventura offers guests a sophisticated resort at a very affordable cost.

Endless Summer Resort

Endless Summer again, is made up of two resorts, Surfside Inn and Suites & Dockside Inn and Suites. These two resorts are nearly identical to one another with extremely affordable rooms, large family suites and offering up a ton of fun! While Dockside is slightly larger and offers two pools, both resorts are beach themed, have food-court style dining and pool bars. What’s really great about these two properties are that because they are sisters and located right next to one another guests of Endless Summer have access to three pools!

It is important to note that Endless Summer, while considered an on-site resort is not actually located on the Universal Orlando Resort Main Property. Guests of this resort must rely on bus transportation to get to the parks and CityWalk. Because it is located on the other side of the highway, there is no walking path available as well. However, buses are frequent and will get you to and from within minutes.

The rooms at Endless Summer are wonderfully themed. Their 2 bedroom suites, with 3 queen beds sleep up to 6 and have kitchenettes with super cute picnic tables.

Endless Summer may not have all the bells and whistles that the other resorts offer but it certainly is fun and family oriented. And just because it’s slightly off the main property and lowest in cost does not remove standard benefits like Early Park Admission! Be sure to check out all the hotel benefits here!
